Tiny Champs Classes
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for ages 3-4 — coordination, listening, and focus built through age-appropriate games. Often a child's first activity. First class free.
Ages 3-4
Tiny Champs at Gracie Barra Round Rock is designed specifically for the 3 and 4-year-old who has never been in a structured activity — and for parents who are ready for one. The curriculum is built around games, movement patterns, and short focused sequences that introduce fundamental body awareness: how to fall safely, how to listen and follow instruction, how to move with intention. None of it looks like a fight class, because at this age it shouldn't. It looks like a child having a great time while building real physical and behavioral foundations.
Prof. Andre Sena and the GB Round Rock team built the Tiny Champs class to operate at a 3-year-old's actual attention span: short bursts of structured activity, clear simple commands, and lots of positive reinforcement. The Gracie Barra curriculum at this level is about physical literacy — coordination, balance, spatial awareness, and the beginning of self-regulation. Parents who sit in the viewing area week after week consistently describe the improvement in focus as one of the first things they notice outside the gym.
Round Rock is one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas, and the Tiny Champs room reflects that: three and four-year-olds from Pflugerville, Hutto, and the neighborhoods around Old Settlers Park have been part of the class since the academy opened in 2019. The age-banded structure is the key distinction — Tiny Champs students are not mixed with 6 and 7-year-olds. They train with children at exactly their developmental stage, which changes what an instructor can teach and how fast the class can move.
Classes run Monday and Wednesday at 4:10 PM and Tuesday and Thursday at 4:30 PM, so the schedule fits most school pickup routines. The first class is free — no commitment, no contract. To ask questions or book, call (512) 287-9823 or visit gbroundrock.com.
Why Train Tiny Champs?
- Age-banded class exclusively for ages 3-4 — children train with true developmental peers, not lumped in with older kids.
- Curriculum built for this exact age: coordination games, listening skills, and focus — not scaled-down adult BJJ.
- Prof. Andre Sena and the GB Round Rock team have coached this age group since the academy opened in 2019.
- Afternoon class times — Monday, Wednesday, Tuesday, Thursday — that align with school and daycare pickup schedules.
- Physical literacy gains parents notice quickly: better balance, improved body awareness, and longer focus spans in daily life.
- Part of the full Gracie Barra kids progression — Tiny Champs leads directly into Future Champs when your child is ready.
